The End

Apocalypse now, and for years it shall be,
As infinite as the deep dark sea.
A wave of pain will flood the land,
The Angel of Death with her icy hand.
Screams and wails and the gnashing of teeth,
Bodies lay unburied with much grief.
Disease and famine continue to spread,
As millions of soldiers will eat hot lead.
Oh woe! Oh woe is the world!
Of the missiles the nations have hurled,
Of nuclear, napalm, and chemical too,
A fiery death to the Lord’s untrue!
Terra’s cities will crumble,
Until its people are humbled.
Repent oh nations! Repent oh world!
Bring peace and harmony and stop discord.
This is a poem that I wrote back during Sophomore / Junior year (2000-2001). It’s also available on Poetry.com.
