Got back my exams today. I made 101 on my Music Fundamentals and a 96 on my Audio Engineering. Yay! Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus! Tomorrow I get to take the OS portion of the Comptia A+ certification. After passing that I’ll be an A+ Certified Computer Technician! WOOHOO! Decided, next thing to go for will be exam 70-210 for MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional).

Passing my exams! ^_^
Thursday, October 12th, 2006Facebook!
Thursday, October 12th, 2006Finally I’m on facebook after several friends several years ago told me about it, but my college didn’t give out student emails so I couldn’t sign up. Now that I’m back with DCCCD I can and finally signed up! 2 days on Facebook and I’ve hooked up with 19 friends. I’m a very blessed person indeed! From elementary school friends to college friends…this is a great place to hook up! Internet sure makes the world seem smaller. Now if only Paul and Silas had the internet back in those days I wonder what would have happened….
Adobe eSeminar – From Bedrock to Flash
Wednesday, October 11th, 2006Wow! That was some presentation by Sandro Corsaro today. For those of you who do not know, Sandro is an animator for Warner Brothers. He talked about some basics in animation as well as some techniques such as “squash and stretch” which plays on the concept of persistent motion. He uses a Wacom Intuos 6×8 tablet and draws everything directly in Adobe Flash. Included in the seminar was a coupon for 15% off of all Adobe products. Use code: Q406ONLINESEM for 15% off of your next Adobe purchase. Coupon expires 11/30/2006.
A+ Certification – 1 of 2 Complete
Wednesday, October 11th, 2006Yahoo! Hallelujah! 1 down and 1 more to go and I become CompTia A+ Certified. I passed the Hardware portion of the exam today (took it at Richland College) and am scheduled to take the OS portion on Friday.
They asked some questions that I really did not expect to see as I didn’t realise they had some customer service questions in the mix. Well, it doesn’t matter I passed and I’m happy. ^_^
Exam Week
Tuesday, October 10th, 2006Whew! 2 down and 2 more to go. Today I had my 2nd exam in Music Fundamentals and my 1st exam in Audio Engineering 1. I thank God that both went well. Tomorrow it’s off for the CompTIA A+ Core Hardware and on Friday it’s in for the OS portion of that exam. I’d say the CompTIA ones are definitely more stressful as each test costs $158 with a single chance to pass it.
So, what’s next after A+? Net+ or MCP? Choices, choices, choices…

Online Speech Classes – A Negative
Tuesday, October 10th, 2006Yay! I’ve completed all my homework for the Speech 1301 class…or did I? Nope, I didn’t! I have to still finish this one project with my online assigned partner to create a dialogue. Ughhh….this is not cool at all as I’ll have to wait on someone I don’t know and my grade is in the mercy of their hands.
This makes it really hard to communicate as I only have their email. Creating a dialogue via email is just plain hard!
What they really should do is have the online class meet online at a certain given time and have group discussions and assignments done then. Granted this is more flexable, but planning ahead like this just is not convenient at all. I certainly hope they contact me soon so we can get this project out of the way.
