Just got back home from visiting dad. He’s still in ICU and just sleeping away. I felt sleepy too and fell asleep in the waiting room during the visit. Mom just sat beside me doing homework while she waited for me to wake up so we could go home. I finally woke up and we started to head for the car. God planned everything so that we would bump into my dad’s physician which had an update of dad’s progress – he has localized infections on the incision area where they took out much of his liver. So mom had a chance to speak with my dad’s nurse, his surgeon, and his primary care physician. God plans things perfectly – if I wasn’t sleepy and we just went home, we would have missed out on the latest report.
While leaving for home, the parking garage automated gatekeeper was out of order (it wouldn’t accepted payment even if you wanted to pay). The LORD already sent someone and a car was right behind us with a person that had an employee badge that could open the gate! Hallelujah, JESUS!
Dad’s sleeping…there have already been several who said that God is touching him right now – even through dreams. I wonder what kind of dreams my dad is having….

Yesterday, at Church, one of my Church brethren paid me $20 in cash for services. I didn’t but just a couple of dollars in my wallet. Little did I know that I would be using it so soon. I ran so low on gas on my way to school – the fuel light was on and from a scale change, I was down to the last block! Much to my amazement, that specific Chevron that I had chosen had its credit card processors down. Thank you, LORD, for providing what I need – if I didn’t have but the $20 I probably wouldn’t have had enough gas to reach the next station which was a couple of exits away.
Also tonight, my dad actually asked for prayer! He even praised the LORD after prayer! God is doing a mighty work – can’t see what yet, but I am excited!!!

I’m so excited! I just got asked to join Just Another Mobile Monday’s staff of writers! I’m looking forward to working with the team. In addition, I’m testing out this new Post2Blog software and seeing how well it works with WordPress (it works with other blogs too). If I can’t figure out this software, guess I’ll have to resort to Windows Writer Live. This software just looked so promising….but I can’t seem to get it to change fonts so I’m stuck with Times New Roman. Then again, maybe it’s because all text will revert to the default blog style by CSS. Well, let’s see how this goes – gonna test it out on my blog first before the JAMM one.

After some more testing and bug squashing, I’m happy to announce a bugfix realease of the GAotD Launcher. Special thanks to MASA, Gaev, and Sam Cox for helping me with ideas and catching a good number of bugs. If you haven’t been to Giveaway of the Day yet or Game Giveaway of the Day, you have to check it out! It’s a great site for commercial software given for free on a unique licensing structure (it’s free only on the day it’s given and so likewise are the install priviledges).

I’m happy to announce the release of v1.0 of the GAotD Launcher! After getting some ideas from JohnRR003 from the GAotD Forums. I decided it would be an excellent programming project. It features support for both the standard GAotD offering as well as the Game GAotD offering. It includes features such as preventing the user from any action after the process starts so that if some windows such as registration info boxes come up, it would let the user know that there is still more to do before the software is activated. So far this has been tested on 3 computers in the house. But I definately would want reports of any bugs should people experience anything.
The terms of use upon installing this software is quite simply, it’s freeware and I’ve programmed it to the best of my ability. I cannot be held responsible if anything goes wrong. Please submit all bugs and feature requests to me at tjchan@gmail.com.
What this program does:
1. Check offerings.
2. Download offerings.
3. Un-zips the file.
4. Run installer(s) (this includes activation stuff).
5. Deletes files downloaded.
As soon as you launch the program, it will connect to get ticker information. If the ticker does not show up, then something is wrong with your connection (it may take up to 5-10 seconds for it to show up). Perhaps I should talk to the GAotD team and get this program to be official. For now though it’s one of those projects in which it was just plain fun to write and it was a challenge as I’ve never done something like this before!

WOW! What a program – and for free as well! This IS the solution for remote controlling your desktop from another computer. Even better, mobile devices like Axims have support as well – so I can access my desktop via my PDA. Sweeet.

Our Cingular cellphone had problems of turning itself off erratically. For a 15 min conversation, it shut itself off 5 times (so yeah, we had to have 6 calls to finish one conversation). We got some anointting oil, applied it to the cell phone, and prayed over it. No more problems and we had the joy of having a 2 hour prayer meeting using the phone. Hallelujah, JESUS!

God reminded me to pay my credit card bill today – I saw Bejeweled 2 for sale for 50% off on Astraware’s site for the New Year’s celebration. I thought I’d go buy it. My Visa card expired though so I had to login to my account to get the customer service number. Upon logging in, I found out that my bill was due TODAY. And so, what was shown is it wasn’t for me to get the game…God just used that to remind me and make sure I don’t get overdue on my bill. Hallelujah, thank you LORD Jesus!

Happy New Year everyone! I just have some wonderful testimonies to share! Our LORD Jesus is continually doing great works for ’07. Upon leaving last Saturday morning to goto Houston to visit family, my 1986 Toyota Camry would not start. My dad also tried to get it to start to no avail. This morning after prayer we (mom and I) were trying to see what should be done with the Camry as it would need to get to the mechanic…somehow. Our LORD showed mom to go and pray and annoint the car with oil. That’s exactly what we did. We prayed and opened up the hood of the car and just splashed oil as we prayed all over the engine. Then I went and attempted to start up the car…..VRROOOOM!!!! It started without a hitch! HALLELUJAH JESUS!!!!!! When we told dad, all dad could do was say “Really?” (He had tried to start it earlier so he knows that it is supernatural.) Praise be to God! This year I’m sure will be the year of the LORD as He will call many in my family.
During the trip to Houston, I’m happy to say that on December 31st, Sis. Louise got the gift of the Holy Ghost. In addition, my Auntie Zena also got stammering lips and experienced the Holy Ghost being all over her. God is good! I can’t wait to see the rest of my family come into the truth and to see greater acts demonstrating the power of the Holy Ghost!
